The Organ Factory

Large scale renovation of an old factory into a gallery, office and home

PROJECT:

The Organ Factory, situated in London's Holland Park, is a large early Victorian factory built in 1872 for a German organ maker. After his retirement in 1906, TOF fell into disrepair and soon became derelict after decades of neglect

BRIEF:

• Remodel large space into an art gallery, interior design office and 4 bedroom home
• Maintain and incorporate gothic styling to make the best use of natural light
• Construct new internal levels to maximise use of internal space

CONCEPT:

Incorporated an art gallery to the north end, with interior design office below.

• Designed a 4-bedroom home featuring a magnificent double height conservatory at the southern end
• Juxtaposing a backdrop palette of ‘riverbed’ tones with an eclectic mix of furniture, art and sculpture

Leinster Gardens Development

Seven apartment renovation of a Victorian London building

PROJECT:
To design and develop 7 luxury apartments, within this early Victorian building, formerly a backpackers hostel. Restoration and remodelling to appeal to an international market of affluent luxury buyers

BRIEF:
• Properties are to be aimed at the luxury end of the international market
• Each apartment must be uniquely designed using high-end materials and world class craftsmen in order to appeal to the discerning buyer
• Create turnkey showroom solutions for high-net-worth buyers, inclusive of furniture, bedding, cutlery and all soft furnishings
• Create new conservation-style slide-and-tilt sash double-glazed hardwood frames

CONCEPT:
• Maximised the use of high ceilings, large living spaces and high windows, taking advantage of natural light & views
• Fittings and finishes were European sourced, installed and designed with stones and marbles hand-picked from an Italian marble yard
• The entrance hallway has been designed to incorporate a variety of marbles.
• Electrical control system has been designed into each apartment to programme lighting, window treatments, heating and sound

Blakemore Hotel

* This project resulted in gaining an extra star for the hotel*

PROJECT:
Working in close consultancy with owners and management teams to refurbish and rejuvenate a London 3 star hotel. The project resulted in a new star gained for the hotel.

BRIEF:
• Transform a 3 star into a 4 star hotel
• Design & refurbish a 142 room hotel accommodating new layout, design & thematic schemes for standard, club and executive suites and en suites
• To specify lighting, signage and new windows.
• To consult on artwork in corridors and rooms
• Existing signage to be replaced with a more sophisticated and coordinated solution

CONCEPT:
• All rooms were designed to capture the 4 star market on a strict budget with maintenance as a key priority
• Bespoke carpet made in the UK and furniture made in Slovenia added to the uniqueness in all spaces
• Artwork has been commissioned to depict the gardens of Hyde Park & Kensington Gardens working in harmony with the different colour schemes dedicated
• A lighting solution had been design to provide accent, tasks & atmospheric light sources
