More background:

I began my career in Sydney Australia, designing offices, showrooms and homes in Sydney and Brisbane. Much of my inspiration came from the Australian bushland; the variances of colour (eucalyptus green, greys, ochres, plums and lavender), the scent of the bush, the birdsong (the kookaburra, magpie and whip-bird) as well as the dramatic nuances of light on the coast and inland.

Then, after frequent design trips to Europe I moved to London in 1997 to be inspired by English/European history and culture, the softness of the light, white washed Victorian terraces and stunning English countryside.

In the 25 years of my career as an interior designer I have had the pleasure of working with fine artists, skilled craftsmen and distinctive materials for bespoke/ customised design solutions.

My portfolio has included large country houses, period town houses, dental practices, an Art deco home, as well the architectural and interior development of 7 luxury show apartments presented to ‘turn-key’ fit out.

Subsequent to this I also began to develop my property portfolio.

Alongside my design career, I have lectured on interior design in Australia and London, as well as guest lecturing in Dubai, and Chile. Helping students to apply the design process has been hugely satisfying.

In 2014, my book, ’Boutique Home – 10 Steps to Creating your Boutique Space’ was published to share all that I have taught and learned throughout my career.

And, in the spirit of giving back, I created Boutique Home School as an online comprehensive interiors course based on the 10 steps.

Between 2016 - 2021, I settled on the shores of Lake Como, absorbing the Italian design culture and lifestyle. Continuing with my property portfolio, I chose to renovate a derelict 3 bedroom apartment into 2 luxury 1 bedroom apartments in the historic village of Cernobbio.

Now, after my Italian adventure, I have returned to the UK and settling into London life again; the culture of exhibitions, theatre and work related activities. I’m loving all that this great city has to offer.
