Restore a detached Art Deco home to its grand history

Project

 

To design, refurbish and restyle this large, detached Art Deco home so as to echo its grand architectural past and reflect the Hotel owners’ joy of entertaining.

Brief

 

• Re-evaluate space with full home restyling and individual room reconstruction projects.

• Find a way to balance a close family lifestyle with a love of entertaining guests and visitors.

• Restyle and scheme rooms to reflect it's Art Deco heritage.

Concept

 

• Created seamless transitions between formal and informal areas to balance family intimacy with the ease of entertaining friends.
  
  • Selected palette of sophisticated hues to serve as the backdrop to the bespoke kitchen.
  
  • Bespoke furniture, lighting and carpet were designed to emulate the Art Deco period, with monochromatic
  texture, ebonised wood finishes and reflective and mirrored finishes.
  
  • Created seamless transitions between formal and informal areas to encourage the family to day and evening social activities.
